Your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, and how to use them with iBoat International.

1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of your personal data is iBoat International LLC, a company registered in Malta (VAT number MT 2303 5034), with its registered office at Suite 12, Portomaso Marina, St Julian’s, Malta. We handle personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Malta’s Data Protection Act (Cap. 586). Full details of what we collect and why are in our Privacy Policy.
2. Your rights
Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
Ask us to delete your data where we no longer need it or have no legal reason to keep it.
Ask us to pause using your data, for example while we check it is correct.
Object to us using your data for our legitimate interests or for marketing.
Receive the data you gave us in a common format, or have it sent to another company.
Where we rely on your consent, such as for our newsletter, you can withdraw it at any time.
We do not make decisions about you based only on automated processing.
3. How to make a request
- Email info@iboatinternational.com with the subject “GDPR request”, and tell us which right you want to use.
- We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, to protect your data.
- We will reply within one month. If your request is complex, we may extend this by up to two more months and will tell you why.
- Requests are free, unless they are clearly unfounded or excessive.
Some data must be kept even if you ask us to delete it, for example booking and accounting records we are legally required to keep. If so, we will tell you.
4. Cookies
- Essential cookies make the website work, for example security and page loading. They do not need consent.
- Analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) help us understand how visitors use the site. We only set them with your consent.
- Marketing cookies (such as advertising pixels) help us measure our advertising. We only set them with your consent.
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
5. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC), Floor 2, Airways House, Triq Il-Kbira, Tas-Sliema SLM 1549, Malta, at idpc.org.mt.
